Successfully facilitating more than 2,000 home sales since becoming a real estate agent three decades ago, Rob Ott has garnered a reputation for his simple yet effective approach and compassionate and thoughtful style. Rob’s clientele has come to trust him for his local market expertise, sense of urgency, and keen understanding of their needs — even when his clients can’t put their finger on them themselves. He represents many first-time buyers, retirees, and professionals, most of whom work for Fortune 500 companies. But no matter who they are or what their real estate desires, they become Rob’s clients for life.Originally from Spokane, Washington, Rob studied business at Gonzaga University and has since built a career centered on customer service, traversing restaurant management, home finance, and, of course, real estate. An unfortunate experience purchasing a car opened Rob’s eyes to the type of person he’s not — pushy. And even against the advice of others who thought him too logical and understated to be a salesperson, Rob became a real estate agent. Now, he defies the industry stereotype by leading with faith, honesty, and intrinsic care for others. It seems the industry needed such a person as Rob, as he has earned an illustrious career. Along the way, he has enhanced his expertise by reading dozens of books on topics ranging from real estate and business to self-help and wealth accumulation, all so he may offer his clients the greatest value.A large part of Rob’s empathy for people comes from his son, who has been significantly impacted by autism. His challenges have reinforced Rob’s realization that everyone experiences difficulties and joy wholly unique to them and should not be made to withstand judgment. He has served on the board of Washington Autism Alliance and has supported other nonprofits, including Cure Autism Now, Autism Speaks, Treehouse, and Seattle’s Union Gospel Mission. When Rob unwinds, he might be found playing the drums — sometimes with his band — or enjoying the Seattle Sounders and Seahawks and the Gonzaga Bulldogs. He loves the outdoors, from the oceans and lakes to fishing, bonfires, and his family’s annual Fourth of July party. Most of all, he loves his family and three dogs, and he looks forward to the day when he and his wife have grandchildren to spoil!
